Votre risque de cancer est un site Web éducatif, créé par le Siteman Cancer Center au Barnes-Jewish Hospital et au Washington University School of Medicine. Le Siteman Cancer Center est situé à St-Louis, au Missouri, et le Centre est le leader international dans le traitement du cancer, de la recherche, de la prévention, de l’éducation et de l’approche communautaire.

Le site Votre risque de cancer a été développé par le Harvard Center for Cancer Prevention, et à ses débuts, il portait le nom de Harvard Cancer Risk Index, un outil qui évalue le risque de cancer, parti du papier et du crayon, intégré au milieu des années 1990 par le Risk Index Working Group à à Harvard School of Public Health. En 1999,
l’indice de risque a été adapté au Web, sous le nom de Votre
risque de maladie. Puis, pour accorder une plus grande importance à l’adoption de comportements sains, on a développé Votre risque de cancer en y intégrant les évaluations des risques de maladies du coeur, d’accident vasculaire cérébral, de diabète et d’ostéoporose. Le site, plus complet, porte maintenant le nom de Votre risque de maladie. Pour plus d'information sur le fonctionnement du site, voir svp les liens ci-dessous.
